crazy lucas idea #6124: webtoon reviewgazine site

Okay so here's another idea from the idea mill that is My Brain: a site about webtoons. It would be something like Comixpedia, except it would be webtoons instead of web comics.

So what would be on the site? Well, every month there would totally be a sort of webzine-style thing feat. interviews news reviews and whatnot from around the webtoonosphere. Plus, there would also be minor reviews too that aren't really part of the e-mag but just go in the "reviews" section on the website. Plus, people can totally register on the site and have blogs about their webtoon/the webtoon world/whatever.

I still can't think of a good name for this hypothetical site. Perhaps... "Webtooniverse"? (totally available as a .com domain name guys)

Also, subsequent add-on idea: like Comixpedia, "Webtooniverse" could also have a wiki with it. Which would be neat.

Sure, what suff would need to be doing?

Well, here's what we would need:
1. hosting: a given. Assuming we'd be using Drupal, we'd need an SQL database for that too.
2. a review team: We need people to give good, constructive (or destructive, if it's That Bad) reviews on the webtoons that get selected.
3. users: well someone needs to read the site and post comments eh
4. i dunno. i'm probably missing something else. suggestions?

I want to be a reviewer. I basically do that now, so I'll review whatever you want me to. In fact, I can be head reviewer.

I would like to be a part of this if it does get going. Probably not a major part, because I have no idea how much time I'd be able to devote to it while running a cartoon at the same time. I wouldn't mind reviewing, I love doing that. Interviewing, writing previews and other articles...I could do anything really. This is definitely something I'd like to see.

Brooks, you would definitely be a prominent part of the reviewing staff, if not Chief Reviews Editor (or somethink akin to that): I've read your reviews, and they're definitely very thorough and fair.

I've got more ideas, I'll post 'em later today.
